Proof of residency and other documentation may be requested by the Principal.

  • A child entering Pre-K must attain the age of three by September 1.
  • A child entering Kindergarten must attain the age of five by September 1.

Transfer Student Policy

Parents/guardians wishing to transfer their child/ren into St. Walter School will be required to complete the Application for Admission form including payment of the application fee and items requested on the admission form. Once accepted, parents/guardians will be required to complete and sign a Release of Records form which allows the transfer of the students’ complete school record. All transfer students must have all records including IEPs or ICEPs in place before the first day of school; otherwise the student/s will not be allowed to begin school. Additionally, based on students’ academic performance, the principal has the right to adjust grade-level placement.

St. Walter School does not accept transfer students after 7th grade, first trimester.

All transfer students, Kindergarten through 7, will be accepted into St. Walter School on probation status for one year. The students’ academic and behavioral performance must meet the standards expected of all students in the school. This status will be reviewed at the end of the each trimester. If at any time during the school year, academic or behavioral performance does not meet the expected standard, a meeting with administration and the parents will be held to determine the best school placement for the student.
